How to spot a fake Louis Vuitton Handbag

Tip #3:  Materials.  The traditional bag shows above is made of signature canvas and the handles and piping are cowhide leather.  A real Louis Vuitton will have leather with red edges and yellow stitching.  This leather will oxidize as you carry the bag, turning the leather darker brown.  If your handles do not change colors, chances are it is a fake.  Also, watch the hardware!  Zipper pulls and studs are marked with LV (not spelled out).  The zipper pulls are made of brass, and should feel heavy if the bag is authentic.
